about

Red dirt in my veins
Ocean at my feet
Wind in my hair
Stars in my eyes
Stories on my tongue

I am an author and freelance writer, currently undertaking a Masters of Creative Arts by research.

I live on the south coast (SA) on Kaurna country, and am of  Martu descent (WA).

My self-published novel, When Rosa Came Home, was short-listed for a South Australian People’s Choice Award in 2015.

The draft manuscript of Where The Fruit Falls was short-listed in the 2017 Richell Prize  and accepted into 2018 Hardcopy program (part 1 & 2), for which I was awarded the inaugural scholarship for First Nations writers. The completed manuscript has been shortlisted for the UWA 2020 Dorothy Hewett Award for an Unpublished Manuscript.

I was able to work on completing that manuscript during a Writers SA’s writer in residence program in 2018.

My first children’s book will be published by Hachette late 2020. It is an illustrated non fiction book aimed at 6 to 10 year olds.
